A: The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) can help with career advancement in a number of ways:

1.) Providing quality networking opportunities with other students and professionals through its many programs, seminars and social functions

2.) The Annual Conference and Exposition, held in a different member city each year; provides workshops, track training, networking opportunities and one of the largest career fairs in the country.

3.) The opportunity to work on a local (and sometimes national) level to promote and highlight the organization to members, friends and those that may not have previously heard of the NBMBAA.

This can help develop skills in event planning, budgeting, marketing and problem solving, which could lead to a position with a corporate partner or possibly pointing the direction to a new career.
